News 2010:
- It is with deep sadness that I have to inform you that Dave Fry (James' Dad) passed away on 14th July after suffering a heart attack. Dave was an able trials rider in his own right but spent most of the recent years supporting James at Centre, British and European Championship trials. James rode in both of our British Championship rounds, Thames Cup trials and was a member of the winning South Eastern Centre Team at the Inter Centre Team Trial in 2006. Our thoughts are with James, brother Andrew and mother Debbie at this sad time. Bob Brown. ( I am sure I am not alone in joining with Bob on his thoughts, and the sympathies of all club members who knew Dave go out to the Fry family-We wish them well, and hope they find strength and peace in this difficult time. b.c.)
Dave's funeral will be held on Tuesday 27th July at 3.00pm at Downs Crematorium, Bear Road, Brighton, East Sussex BN2 3PL, the wake afterwards at Hove RFC, Hove Recreation Ground, Shirley Drive, Hove, East Sussex BN3 6QP.
- Surrey TRO Imminent: Your Help urgently requested- August 2010: Can you please all help and send in a letter, soon, to arrive by 27th August 2010, to voice opposition to an impending TRO (Traffic Regulation Order) in Surrey, on 2 important lanes. For sample draft letter, reasons for TRO, and details on what to do , and your help will be appreciated.
- If these lanes close, they will never be re-opened.
- Peter Dale appeared in the sports section of the Surrey Ad this week ( 21st May 2010), with a good photo- they currently lead their class in the National Sidecar championship- 28 points clear of their nearest rivals- Trials hardly ever makes news in this publication, so its good to see some publicity at last. Congratulations to Peter and passenger. (I will try to scan and insert the article here soon)
- Club Night: Every 1st Thursday of the month. Click here for venue details and directions- please make every effort to attend, your company will be valued, and the hon sec. must just be buying! ( well dream on!)

News 2009:
- Star Group 2009: Well done to all who rode, and won the championship for Thames, champions for 2009- results and individual results posted now.

- A new Trials Club has been formed on the Isle of Wight- known as 'Wacky Wheelers'. For poster click here
- Congratulations to the winners of the various categories in the 2008 Championship, and especially to 'Expert' Champion, Jo Walters, who not only won in the 'Expert' category, but also competed earlier on in the 'Inter' category, where he also scored points. See Newsletter link below for full results. Also, the club did rather well in the 2008 Star Group Championships, congratualtions to all those who took part.
